So I combined the two.<\/p>\n<p>I saved the json results of asking facebook for all of my friends <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/docs\/graph-api\/\">using the graph api<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Using the rjson package for R, I loaded the data into R and broke down the count of friends by gender.
